Is it possible to write a filter that only starts giving results when, lets say the Nasdaq index is above MA (200) ?

 or
 show stocks above MA(50)
 IF
Dow 30 ADX is above 30
 Market is Dow30

 Thank you
 alex

TRO: I also thank you for your response. I have a related question.

I want to backtest a filter that only provides results in either an up or down market. Simply, I suspect a certain filter just doesn't work well in a down market. Do you have a suggestion of how would I enter a condition such that the filter would only provide results if the market was up ... or down?

 Thank you ... Steve

If I understand the question, use the same code.
